What logo/graphic/picture files do we accept?
Please send us a quality image. The largest file you have is often the better one. Ideally we prefer a .eps file, but the following file extensions are fine: - jpeg, png, vect, bitmap, cdr, cpt, tif, and a pdf (glass only)
METAL engraving - we don't accept photographs, scanned images, those in Microsoft Word or a PDF format. We would accept a PDF if it is sent directly from your graphics designer, on the basis the original artwork is 300dpi and it has been exported using the same setting
GLASS engraving - your image must have been professionally designed for you. We will work from photos or any other image for the additional cost of £7.50
Boundaries have been set to ensure great engraving results we're proud to put our name to
How can I help ensure I send a quality image and what is D.P.I.?
Something of 300 dpi (dots per inch), but over 150 dpi is often OK. You can tell what the dpi is by finding the file (doesn't work with a PDF) in 'Windows Explorer' (START, RUN - type 'explorer' and click OK) and right click on the file, choosing propertiesSelect the 'summary' tab near the top left of the window. Select 'advanced' if the dpi figure isn't shownThe 'number' dpi under "Horizontal and Vertical Resolution" needs to be greater than 150, preferably 300! Poor graphics can only be engraved to a very small size, else they will look low grade
